CH.Vidon is a company which has been operating in the railway engineering sector for 14 years, offering specialized services, consulting and training. We provide our clients with scientifically based solutions. Since 2010, we are L.B. Foster Rail Technologies’ commercial agent and authorized technical assistance in Brazil, making us a reference in Total Friction Management solutions. We develop specific solutions for lubrication programs and wheel-rail programs for freight railways and passenger train systems. A company dedicated to innovation and the production of knowledge in railway engineering.

    Walter Vidon Júnior
    Consulting Railway Engineer, holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora and a specialization in Railway Freight Transport from the Brazilian Military Institute of Engineering (IME). Member of AREMA. Service internship in TTCI (Transportation Technology Center Inc./USA). Partner-manager and founder of CH.Vidon. Has over 40 years of continuous service in the railway track sector (RFFSA and MRS). Has conducted trainings, courses and seminars in IME, EFC, FCA, ALL, SuperVia, CBTU, CPTM, etc. Is the author/co-author of 50 or more technical papers, published and presented in seminars and conferences in Brazil and abroad.

    Felipe Oliveira Vidon
    Consulting Railway Engineer, holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) and a specialization in Railway Freight Transport from the Brazilian Military Institute of Engineering (IME). Member of AREMA. Partner-manager of CH.Vidon, where he develops Friction Management/Wheel-Rail Interface programs for the largest freight railways in Brazil as well as passenger systems, among others. Author of papers published in Brazil as well as in conferences of the International Heavy Haul Association (IHHA). Has vast participation in numerous international wheel-rail seminars.

    Filipe Mendes Paraguassu
    Electrical engineer graduated from the Severino Sombra University, in Vassouras. Has over 10 years’ experience in the railway industry. Partner of CH.Vidon, where he is involved in the implementation, management and monitoring of Friction Management projects and Wheel-Rail Interface programs in the largest Brazilian railways.

    Francisco Armando da Silva Bastos
    Technician specialized in railway track and heavy machinery for track maintenance, holds a degree in Electronics. Has 39 years’ experience in the railway sector, having worked in RFFSA and MRS Logística, where he held the position of maintenance and track equipment manager. Partner of CH.Vidon, where he has been involved since 2006 in numerous Friction Management projects and Wheel-Rail Interface programs in the largest freight railways in Brazil as well as passenger systems.

    Fernando César de Moura e Silva
    Railway Engineer for 35 years. Holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora; Specialization in Strategic Management from USP; MBA in Transport Business from COPPE/UFRJ; MBA in Business Management from Fundação Dom Cabral. Project Leader of the principal railway track technologies implemented in MRS Logística: Rail Grinding, Ultrasound, TrackStar, RailVac, Shoulder Ballast Cleaning, Tie Gang and Wheel-Rail Interface Management. Testing and development of new classes of rail metallurgy with Nippon Steel, Voest Alpine, ArcelorMittal and Tata (British Steel). Several international papers published in AREMA and IHHA conferences. Partner of CH.Vidon.
